Mind all a jumble

And then it is set straight.

Our good friend had surgery for an ovarian mass today. The FCC passed a resolution to pander the people's airways to the rich also. Pregnant women who are addicted to very strong drugs are being charged with murder if they miscarry. "Meth...the drug stronger than a mother's love" was what was just said on a PBS show. We are getting ready to go on a 3 week long road trip; among the stops we have, I'll have to spend time with the Angry White Man, Taciturn's step father, who thinks GWB should declare himself emperor and be done with it. Rush Limbaugh is on at THAT house almost 24/7.

AACCKKK!

And then the phone rings, and my granddaughter says, "Grandma Laura, I lost a tooth yesterday," and suddenly the world comes into focus. She is only five, so no one had told her that this was possible, so she was pretty scared. She was not afraid to tell me of her fear.

This is important too. Thanks be to God!

I'm so glad your granddaughter called! What a memorable event--that she shared with you, even in her fear!

This is a lovely post, taking us - with just a few words - to so many places in the heart.

Thank you.

And peace!
