Benedictine prayer for Monday
Gracious and Holy Father,
give us the wisdom to discover You,
the intelligence to understand You,
the diligence to seek after You,
the patience to wait for You,
eyes to behold You,
a heart to meditate upon You,
and a life to proclaim You,
through the power of the Spirit of Jesus, our Lord.
(HT to Santos Woodcarving Popsicles.)
A wonderful prayer that allows me to declare intention for this week.
I did go on the Garden Walk yesterday with my friend DB. A wonderful time was had by both, and I've lots of photos. Tactiturn and I have another lovely day so we are headed to the Northern Hills to do some hiking in about an hour. I plan to take my camera to grab some shots there also. Thoughts about both days to follow!
Kirkepiscatoid posted two intricately thoughtful essays yesterday to which I simply must post responses, either here or in her comments. I was blown away by her exegesis of two Scripture passages.
Lots of great writing to be found on blogs. Just amazing. Most of the blogs I have in my list have at least moments of tremendous clarity and beauty. Some more than others, to be sure, but insight to be found in each.

Lovely prayer. Thank you for posting it. It helped me ratchet down the inner tension just a step.
Thank you for the prayer. I'm glad the garden walk was nice.
