Denial and Rage

I wrote a really long post about what happened at work yesterday. (My Facebook page says, "Laura is recovering after being a verbal punching bag yesterday.") After looking at it for a while, I decided that it invaded the privacy of several people, so it was unbloggable. I did save it though, and will forward it to a few of my pals.

I think the crux of the matter was that the raging person needed the terminally ill parent to not die so much that the stark reality that was right there could not be internalized. So when faced with the fact of impending death, that person had to rage and lash out. After all, the construct which had been deemed "true" had come tumbling down. Someone had to pay for that. I just happened to be the one standing there. It wasn't personal.

But it sure sucked the energy right out of me!

Laura, I'm so sorry you were subjected to that. I'm glad you've sorted out that it wasn't personal.

Sending you cyber hugs. ((((Laura))))
