New Year's Resolutions

Are not things I make. For myself, I see resolutions as setting myself up to fail. I have enough failure, real and imagined, in my life without adding to it.

However, there are some things that I do need to change. And this quote on Irenic Thoughts I find very uplifting and inspiring as opposed to failure abetting:

Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them—every day begin the task anew.

—Saint Francis de Sales

And the photo on the website is a perfect accompaniment!
