Now I am home

With my parents in the smallish (pop 20,000) town of Sedalia, MO. My brother, his wife, and their youngest daughter live here also. I will blog about that later.

There was an article on the Religion page of the local paper yesterday that is so stereotypical of attitudes many have toward God here. This was an attitude I always found troubling even as I shared it (I knew no other way to relate to God). The summation of the local creed is there is no reason to worship God except for fire insurance.

As you read the article, do you notice any mention of the name of Christ? Do you read anything about love or grace? My thought is that the only reason this is on the religion page is due to the Baptist minister status of the author. OR--he ran out of space and the last paragraph was edited out. I hope that is the case.

Oh dear. Oh dear. I am praying and sighing.

May I ask you to read this piece I wrote about grace? It can be found here, if you have the time or desire.

Either way- I send you peace and prayers always!

Blessed Christmas to you.
