Switching on the lights again

To make sure that they work!

I hope all are experiencing the joy of the Easter season! I, for one, am finding new energy in the yearly reminder that Christ is risen indeed, and suddenly am returning to normal life!

However, my ticker still doesn't want to cooperate with my new found enthusiasm. I've started having near black out spells which come at the most inconvenient times (i.e., while driving at 75 mph on the interstate), so my cardiologist is re-conducting most of the tests I had last fall.

So while I'm out enjoying life, occasionally I must sit down.

In the meantime, I got a part time job. I am going back to being a nurse. The reason I am doing this is due to the fact that a position opened up at the local hospice house, and I've wanted to work in hospice for many years. There has never been a job until now, and I refuse to do what I went to school a total of 6 years to learn as a volunteer. Anyway, I saw the ad for the job, reactivated my nursing license, and applied for the job. I'll blog more about that later.

Hugs to Episcopalifem, who had one of those pesky, unpredictable and dangerous events that those of reproductive age rarely have. Glad she remains with us, as it easily could have been otherwise.

Need to run--I'm headed to my Weight Watchers meeting. As of last week, I've lost 20.4 lbs. Needless to say, I've been doing lots of shopping in my own closet. I did break down and purchase some new shirts.

Peace to all, and more later....

YAY for down 20.4lbs and the hospice job!! Boo for the blackout spells...BE CAREFUL!

After I heal up from this recent nastiness, I'm going to get back on that stick too.

Thanks for the well wishes and I'm glad to see your lights are still on and working...
