Women, wards of the state?
Check out this post and the accompanying video. It is long, but these are things that can and do happen when the rights of the fetus outweigh the rights of the woman carrying the fetus. By the way, the women featured in the video all are opposed to abortion, but found their rights trampled on due to their pregnancies.

I think about 15 years ago when I said, “You know, you let these so-called “pro-life” people have their way, someday we will all be facing ‘The Uterine Police’ where every time some poor woman miscarries, a cop will be in the ER asking, ‘Did you want this kid? Did you drink? Smoke? Jump flat footed off a table?’ and then we will live in a world where women are just ‘vessels’ when they’re pregnant with no rights at all for 9 months.” People said I was “paranoid!” Imagine that!
