Continuing to wait...

Advent's theme of waiting is sure my theme at present. Besides waiting for the birth of the Christ Child, I'm awaiting news on what happens next with my brother, and to see what happens to the weather here.

My brother RCE is going to have an angiogram of some sort next week. Last I heard, his doctor is looking to do a CT angiogram, which is a new test that although is non invasive, many times does not give the appropriate info. Don't know if RCE pushed back when a regular angiogram was suggested, or if the cardiologist thought that RCE's coronary arteries are so likely to be clean that he didn't need to be invasive. We appreciate all of the prayers said on his behalf.

I had hoped to go be with him but a blizzard (yet another!) is blowing in tonight with a huge drop in temperatures. The high tomorrow is projected to be -4. The snow has started but the wind has not. The temp is beginning to drop, though. Anyway, this certainly would cancel any trip we would take to Denver to see RCE. It may delay our trip to Missouri also, by a day or two. We have to juggle not only getting through South Dakota, but into Missouri where storms are headed around the time we project to get there!

My daughter in law is happy I'm coming and would be sad if I didn't show, or was late. GD has FIVE cavities and is having extensive dental work done, and DIL needs a babysitter for GSs #1 and #2 while she takes GD to the pediatric dentist. Happy to do it if I'm there.

Speaking of pediatric dentists, I am amazed by what GD told me of her visit to him. She adores him. She waxed rhapsodic about all he did for her, especially the cleaning of her teeth. She thought he did her a huge favor. I don't know what they gave her, but it sure worked. She confided that her brother GS #1 also has a cavity, and that he would be too scared to go to the dentist. She herself is kind of a "fraidy cat" and that was why I was surprised that she said she liked him.

It's snowing...
