T on the road

Taciturn is on the road to Baltimore. He left yesterday am and baring misadventure, will arrive at his mom's house on Wed. He despises flying for various reasons, so although it takes so long to drive, he prefers to do that.

When we spoke last night on the phone, I asked him about the snow warnings for the Northeast. He said it will all be melted by the time he gets there.

Here's praying he is right! He is driving the least snow worthy of our three autos. It gets the best gas mileage, though.

He will be gone ten days. I am scheduled to work seven of those ten, and one of the days off is actually a sleep day, since I will have worked all night the night before. That was a convenient excuse to stay home, since T still hasn't told his folks that I plan never to visit again. He probably won't ever. Which is fine, there will just be excuse after excuse.

T is a bit concerned, though, about what he might find on this visit. He offhandedly mentioned the other night that "it's been over a year since I've seen them. I wonder how things really are?" He knows in his heart of hearts that the home of his mother and the Angry White Man is a dark place.

Prayers for all, please!

Well, I am sure he is going to discover more things he would rather not discover. Just sure of it....

Saying a prayer for his safety on the road and his spirit when he reaches their house.

He's brave to go back. Glad you're not.

Praying for him and his mother and AWM and you. It will be 60 here by Friday, so all the snow has begun to melt. I hope he didn't get caught in too much of it driving this way.

Perhaps the silver lining to this cloudy trip will be his realization that your not wanting to go there is based on some very, very good reasons.

Hang in there and get some sleep when you can.
