Return of the laptop!

Yes, it is back with a new hard drive and reinstalled software and OS. My wallet is much lighter but the laptop works. Hurray!

I found out today who else is running for the vestry. All are great folks who have the best interest of the parish at heart. No matter who is chosen, our church will be well served and that is what matters.

I'm joining Weight Watchers tomorrow. When I ran marathons, I could eat all I wanted (and I did) and stay slender--since exercise is much more difficult now, I no longer can eat with impunity. To attempt to get back into exercise, I've been to "Aqua Rock" water aerobics 4 times this week--this is NOT your mother's water aerobics. One of the instructors told me that this was the only class that had any intensity.

Water aerobics has worked for me before. I used it to get back into shape after some surgery 13 years ago and it trimmed me down (along with healthy eating) to a size 4 top and 6 pants. I would settle for size 10 at this point.

This body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Also, I have more energy to serve when there isn't so much of me! Better for that funky heart of mine as well.

But Taciturn and I are going out to eat tonight as a last hurrah. Won't eat too much, though!

Yay laptop!

As for weight loss... I have been exercising 30-45 minutes a day but have sadly been eating and eating badly.

I am aware that my eating is emotional and I can not seem to stop.

Please pray for me about this and I keep at it.

I have never been thin, in fact I have been much heavier. But I don't want to go back there.

How's Weight Watchers? I started on Jan. 1 and am sticking mostly to the points plan.

Hi Jan, so far (my second day), so good. T made pasta sauce without added fat, so I can eat some of that this evening (with my whole wheat pasta, which I love anyway, but he does not). I'm using the Flex plan also. We'll see how it goes.

I started this just in time! If I weighed any more, I would not have been able to get into the one pair of slacks that still fits this morning before church!
